:.BIDANG PENYELIDIKAN.:

- Areas of research: Malay psyche, Malay thought and philosophy, Malay language, Malay manuscripts and Jawi writing.

Currently involved in analysing, transliteration and publication of karya Agong Melayu or Great Book of the Malay World entitled Kitab Pengetahuan Bahasa Raja Ali Haji, financed by the Yayasan Karyawan of Malaysia.

Also in the process of forwarding a research application to the Science Fund entitled "Mengkaji dan menghuraikan Hati Budi Melayu: pengenalpastian, penghuraian, perubahan dan pengukuhan". The research will involve collection and anaslysis of documents and printed materials pertaining to the subject matter, in depth interview of Malay leaders and thinkers, and observation and information gathering through questionnaires on Malay psyche among various Malay groups: the youth, the professionals, the villagers, the farmers, the corporate world and petty businessmen, the womenfolk, etc.
